PondHawk installed at The Sydney R. Marovitz Golf Course in Chicago

In May 2015, LINNE Industries assisted the course’s superintendent and staff of The Sydney R. Marovitz Golf Course in Chicago, IL, install 2 PondHawk Single Diffuser Systems on their 1 1/4 acre L-shaped pond.

The Sydney R. Marovitz Golf Course is one of six of the Chicago Park District Golf properties managed by Billy Casper Golf. A Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary, this 9 hole jewel sits on the shore of Lake Michigan and offers unmatched views of Lake Michigan, Montrose Harbor, and the city skyline.

Sited where the waves meet the land, the Edward B. Dearie 18-hole course design was originally named Waveland Golf Course. The course was built in the 1930’s for more than $2 million. The pond is located on hole #6, which was added to the course in the 1950’s.

Considered one of America’s best kept secrets, the Chicago Park District is the steward of more than 8,000 acres of open space. It has a rich history and is considered the nation’s leading provider of green space and recreation.
